  1. Hello Mark, "This video is not available in your country."
can you please fix this video, i would really like to see it.
Also, I am planning a trip from Toronto to Vancouver, not next year but the year after. I am absorbing information from now on. Would a road bike do for this trip? I have a specialized roubaix which is a pretty comfortable bike. Appreciate your help with this.

  2. Hi Shaheer,

I've tried to fix the link. Sorry, I'm not too familiar with youtube. Hope it works now.

I think the trip should be possible with a road bike. It might be a good idea to put on puncture resistant tires and heavier rims/spokes. The Vittoria Randoneurs that came stock with my Raleigh Sojourn had a kevlar band in them and I was lucky enough to do the whole trip without a flat. Some of the people I met on road bikes had problems with flats and broken spokes. Hope you get the chance to do it. It's a great trip.

  3. I've recently created a blog about my virtual bike trip across the US & Canada via my exercise bike. I enjoy reading about your actual experiences in the places I visit only virtually. I wanted to share my experience of discovering other transcontinental cyclists out there -- real & virtual -- so I posted info about your project. I hope this brings you more admirers.
